Operations Manager

VIP Petcare is a fast paced, innovative company looking for honest, professional team members who have a passion for pets and the people who love them. Our Community Clinics provide high value preventative and wellness pet care services including diagnostic tests, vaccinations, prescription medications, microchipping, nail trims and a wellness check commensurate with the services administered.

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join our team!

The VIP Petcare Operations Manager assists in the improvement of operations, training, and development of field offices across the US and supports activities of the VP of Operations and all Regional Directors.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Identify training needs in individual field offices and coordinate training sessions with Field Office Managers and Senior Field Office Managers
  • Provide support to Regional Directors and field offices surrounding organizational goals, priorities and professional standards
  • Continually collaborate across multiple offices to improve operations
  • Analyze national sales results and trends in order to provide input to operations/marketing teams to improve and maximize sales
  • Assist in the opening of new field offices and training of new Field Operations Managers
  • Align operations and ensure that operational policies and procedures are followed at all field offices
  • Support new initiatives, promotions and programs being developed or executed in the field
  • Support recruiting activities for new Field Operations Managers
  • Identify training needs and assist in training new and established field office personnel
  • Travel as required to meet training needs and management goals
  • Engage, inspire and encourage employees
  • Live our values and reinforce our brand promise with our partners, clients and team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License required

Reporting Structure:

  • VP Operations

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree in Business Administration, Management or Operations preferred, or degree in similar fields of study
  • Minimum three years of experience in a managerial or leadership role, or combination of experiences which would lend itself to broad exposure of operational functions
  • Training and development experience
  • Prior work experience in customer service or sales preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred
  • Knowledge of basic pet wellness and preventative care
  • Safe driving record

  • Must enjoy and be comfortable working with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including handling and lifting animals as necessary
  • Ability to drive motor vehicles in various terrain and weather conditions
  • Sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Work for prolonged periods of time at a desk utilizing a computer
  • Work for prolonged periods of time in the field, including 12-14 hours days on occasion
  • Fast-paced, fluid work environment
  • Lift up to 150 pounds assisted
  • Stand/walk/move about for prolonged periods of time while at a clinic
  • Schedule includes weekends, with occasional overnight and holiday work
  • Some outdoor clinic work and activities may be necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
